The Last Song

April 30, 2009

Long time since i posted 1 of these from my library, here goes…

The Last Song

The radio played the last song

We hope we didn’t cry

Because the love was not strong

Everything just went wrong

I wipe the tears streaming down your face

And thought of how your lips use to taste

I prayed to God he could hear the song

Make us brave to weather the storm!

As the last song start to fade…

You closed your eyes and went to bed

I kissed your cheeks and leave things to fate

And hope without me, you will never be afraid

1-0 to Manchester United after the first leg again Arsenal. I scored, which Cch will definitely want to say. Hahaha. I think its a good result, though maybe we should have killed them off with more goals. I didnt get to watch the game, was like supeeeer tired after finishing my work. Nearly died. Been sleeping like 2-4am from monday to wed. Really is shag until don’t feel like talking. Anyway ;et’s get the 0-0 scoreline at Arsenal. Or even better, 0-1 to us.

There have been some comments regarding my english in recent weeks. Just for the record, i O levels got B3. A levels i got B4 if i remembered correctly. And also for the record, working and after work different lah. Of course after work already with friends, relac right. Just talk more broken english and they understand can already. And most if not all my friends except for a certain, Alan, we all speak the chinese. So if suddenly revert to english during conversations, of course a bit not use to it. Its like when i see Cch or Guowen’s face i straight away think ”cheena piang” LOL.

As usual I have nothing much excitement to report. I’ll be catching a movie tonight at cine. So for my fans who want to catch 2/5 of ”Steady Alan” (that’s the name of our band btw), please feel free to drop by and grope at me or something. I’ll return the courtesy if you are a lady.

If You See Kay (say it out) :-

If you see my friend

Doesn’t matter where or when

Tell me if you see Kay

So if you see kay will you tell her that I love her,

And if you see kay let her know I want her back,

If she listens say I miss her,

Everything about her,

Make sure you say I’m sweet f.a without her,

If you see kay!

Now now, Ryan Giggs finally got it didnt he. Maybe he didnt really deserve it, but who voted? No us the fans, but fellow professionals who voted him to be PFA player of the year. 20 years at a club is really a huge feat. So lets give it up for RYAN GIGGS! I can just hear the famous chant in my ears now, ”Ryan Giggs Ryan Giggs running down the wing!”

Back to the title race. I think there is about 5 games left. I doubt Liverpool can catch Man u already. 3 points ahead and a game in hand. Its not impossible, but I doubt it will happen. Of course a lot of rivals, namely liverpool supporters will complain that man u play boring football and liverpool played attacking football. But please, recollect the number of years liverpool have played boring football. The last i check it have been at least 12 years. But im not trying to start a war on which is the most successful club in England. Too many things to compare, which is not fair to the past and present teams. But hopefully we would win this years title with 2 games to spare and equal liverpool’s record of 18 league titles.

Ok enough about football. How is life for everyone? I guess it’s exams exams yea. I just finish mine, should be able to pass. Not really very difficult.

Last sat after my exams went to my grandfather’s birthday at orchard hotel. The food is excellent. I was eating and drinking like crazy. Haha sounds kinda of noob. But yah, i quite enjoyed myself. Except the fact that as usual I’m the outcast, bloody hell. But it’s ok, to each his own. After the dinner i headed down to Chjimes to meet up with some of the lads who did not have exams. Not surprisingly Chjimes was like only half full. Yah half full on a saturday night. Times are bad. But still life have to go on.

Anyways this week event will be fun. Or at least i think the coming weeks will be good.Thursday i will be catching the movie ”Taken”, heard from a couple of friends its a very good movie. Friday i’m going play board game at mind’s cafe at boat quay. Saturday im going to cine to play the video games e.g Guitar hero. And guys from the band (ya u know who you are, Junyuan you are not inside), i found a pianist already. So please think of a band name before we become famous yea.

Oh come on, the tackle on Welbeck was an obvious penalty. One of the basics have a foul is having no attempt to play the ball. The defender was already desperate and he didnt had any attempt to play the ball. But we dig our own grave didnt we? For fielding a team of unknowns. Some of them only making their 2nd first team appearance. Unbelievable stuff from AF. I mean this is the FA cup dude, we should have fielded a better team. And i didnt understand either why he took off Park Ji Sung. I thought he was 1 of the better players on the park. Another thing is, Berbatove penalty kick was atrocious lah. WTF was that. If i am AF i will slap him when he get into the dressing room.

Ok to recap what i did these few days. Friday i went to west coast macdonalds to study with Cch and his classmates. I think west coast mac is a good place to study. Maybe because many students there studying. So it sorts of creates a ‘’studying” mentality. But i was quite tired that day, due to working. So i went home around 1am.

Saturday was Calvin’s birthday celebration. So some of us decided to meet earlier to have dinner at vivo before heading to St James. Cch brought us to this German restuarant. I will say except for the seafood (I don’t like seafood btw), the food and beer is good. 4 person we eat about $150. Still ok lah.

After that we went to Dragonfly. Nowadays DF not much queue. Not much people either. But powerhouse was full. And i mean really super full. Like Thursday holiday then wed u go zouk, que until siao that kind of full. And that day DF really funny, they got sing english songs. Hahahaha, and the songs they sing also always repeat. I think they maybe should have some changes. Getting a little boring for me lah. So in between the live performance there would be dance music. Normally if i still sober, i know they will play hip hop or like top house music. But NO. Saturday they play trance. Wth is trance doing in DF. You all heard trance in DF before? Or am i outdated? I quite shock by the trance thingy. In fact, the trance music made me have headache. Haahaha. Progressive trance?

Actually its not very fun, maybe because exams period. Everyone also no mood to party. Hopefully will be better after exams.

Don’t Judge A Book By It’s Cover

April 18, 2009

I bet many of you have read about Susan Boyle. The lady who went onto the show ”Britian got Talent”. She 47, not very pretty. So somehow a lot of people in the audience write her off before she started to showcase her talent. While being interviewed, she said she hasnt been kiss before in her life. But still God is fair, and talent is what she have.

Catch her video on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lp0IWv8QZY&eurl=http://

It made my hair stand. And made me wonder, why do people judge people with such a narrow mind?

He Makes England Look Like Shite!

April 16, 2009

Uh huh! Lovely strike from Ronaldo this morning. The best way to describe it was how Cch sms me. ”He shot from very far, flew in like a rocket, no like laser.” Like laser?? Go figure.

I think the goal was from 40 yards. About 36 metres shot. Thats quite a good goal even by his high standards. The goal was enough to seal our passage to the semi finals. And you couldnt say we didnt deserve to go through. We played a very tactical game (read: boring), but the positive thing was that every sticked to their respective roles. Ronaldo had a good enough game, since he had not much support as a lone striker, so we have to give it to him. For me, Rooney was magnificent. But not on the attack front, but on the discipline and will power. He was practically a right back, and you could see that he track back very often till at the end of the first half he look rather tired. But my man of the match goes to Johnny O Shea. Boy was he good. Rio Ferdinand look shaky, maybe due to the lack of match practise. But O Shea was always there to back him up. He didnt give away the ball much unlike some other players like a particular Anderson-son-son. His inexperience in the big league shows in this game. Crappy stuff from a crappy player. Giggs also played well, you could see his skill. But you could also see he really old already. His pace is like Matt Le Tissier? Hahaha. Vidic was also playing great, but it seems that he is doing this game in game out that its like the norm. Evra is crappy, just like the whole season. Bebartove was average. And last but not least, Carrick – who?

The road to victory not only lies in ones ability. The luck factor is also important. Of course if you work hard you can make some luck. Other than that, its the man above who makes the decisions. I have to commend the ref of the game, he held strong. Wasnt intimidated. I felt he had a good game.

Problem for United now is, we are riding on a lot of luck. And it will run out sooner rather than later. We need to get our act together. Play some flowing football, the full backs should over lap more often. Play the UNITED way man! Cause we are not going to beat Arsenal in the semis if we play like this.

Enough of football, the most exciting part is coming up right now. My life.

This week is quite a good week I would say. Yesterday i went to eat with a friend, went to TCC. The baked rice is crap. Don’t eat it! But they had a good promotional offer. If you use UOB credit card, the other main course meal is freeee.

After that went to Peranakan place. Its between center point and HMV. Somewhere along there lah. I think that place consist of about 3 pubs in  a area. All own by the same boss. All the concept is about the same. But it’s a chill out place, not those disco disco place. Quite good i would say, definitely will go there again.

After that I went home, it was about 1.30am. By the time i bathe, it was already 2am. So i decided to read the book i bought for Cch (sorry mate, couldn’t help it) while waiting for the Man U game to start, cause i worried i couldnt wake up for the match. The book is titled ”Provided you don’t kiss me.” I read the first 2 chapters, thumbs totally up. Quite a good book, easy read too. After the Man U game ended, it was about 5am. I had to wake up at about 7.30am, so i decided, tmd don’t sleep already lah. Might as well study till 7.30am then go work straight. Damn gung-ho right. But now i damn shag, super regret. Haaha. Later still got a wake to attend. But still it is a must attend, so no whining is needed.

Study hard guys, and we’ll have fun after the exams period.

Come What May

April 15, 2009

Exams period again. Everyone in ”Brothers with the Answers” are busy. Very low season for everyone i guess, with no outings. But the good news is, come May everyone would be free. And the better news is, come June(hopefully earlier), 3 of them will join the work force. Which means more spending power and which means more fun. Unless they find a gf in the midst lah.

Just spoke to Ryan king on the phone. Told me some lame funny stories again regarding Ji Sung Park. One really funny guy this fella. Ok and this blog is also to record down something he said. Here’s the caption:-

Ryan: When i come back in July, remember to ask me out to those nightlife.

Randy: Huh?! You sure or not?

Ryan: Yeah i’m sure, you said want to bring me out to Timbre the other time, say only!

Randy: Ok so we set the record straight, If you say no 2 times you are a wanker.

Ryan: NO, if i say no once you can call me a wanker, Rebecca can’t control me already.

Randy: Ok set. I’ll do my part, if you say yes 3 times in a row, the 4th outing is on us.

Ryan: Ok!

So there, all of you guys saw what he said yea. So i guess life will be more exciting come June/ July. And that means, i will update my blog more regularly haha.

Shinjuku Got Problem

April 6, 2009

Something unimaginable happen to me last Saturday. I went to watch movie with someone – a guy. Hahahaha. Ok it’s going to be the norm for some time i know.

Went to watch with Chenghan the show by Jackie Chan. Not your normal Jackie Chan show, but still i would say it is a must watch. The story is told in a way that, it sort of mimics real life. When people are poor and have nothing to lose, they band together. Maybe because they feel secure to have more people with them, or maybe because they know by using each others different talents they can achieve their goals. But the sad part is when they do achieve their goals. People will then show their ugly side. Maybe because by now, they have enough power or money, they don’t really need the people they needed before. And maybe it’s because at this time, they have something to lose. Funny how people always commit the same mistakes over and over again when there are so many past experience from people to study on. Maybe every individuals think they can win the situation that other people can’t. Maybe?

Anyways, after the movie, we went to St James. At first the plan was to go Dragonfly to soak in the atmosphere. But in the end me and Chenghan went to Mono while leaving Calvin and his gang at DF. As what Cch have observed, Mono had rather little people. But actually there is nothing much to be surprise about. To sum up the day, the movie was good, the St James part was boring.
